Share a little about the ingredients and techniques used to create this dish/item. After years of trying *and failing* to make a passable pie crust, I signed up for "Perfecting the Pie Crust". Wow! This is the first attempt at the butter/shortening combination dough! Even the bottom crust flaked! Thank you, thank you Evan! My husband grew up on South Africa, and the one thing he misses most is the meat pie. I have always wanted to give him that, and now I can! Your class made it so easy, one of my kids came home from school and said to me, "I'm so proud of you Mom, usually you look like crying when you make pie, but you look like you are having fun!" My favourite quote, "Repetition is the road to Mastery"!
