Instructions

This is a paper pieced project. You definitely should have a proficiency at regular piecing techniques if you have not tried paper piecing. But this is a fantastic way to make a Lone Star Quilt!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Other

Style: Traditional

Materials

In this project, I chose Kaffe Fassett Fabrics as well as cotton Batiks.

What was your inspiration?

When choosing the fabrics for this project, I wanted to use the colors of the rainbow. I think that I achieved this and more!

What are you most proud of?

Just totally enjoying this project! Also, I am proud to say that I teach this as well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Paper Piecing a Lone Star is a fantastic way to piece this classic quilt. There is no distortion of the small diamonds, therefore very little pinning. Give it a try!

I love the fact you are not afraid to use bold and bright colors. I myself alway seem to pick the bright and bold colors for all my quilts.
