What was your inspiration?

I wanted to design something that I would actually wear and this is what I came up with :-)

The Hydroponic is a fantastic crocheted garment that is meant to be a layer piece. Made out of 100% Linen the piece has a softness and drape that is unimaginable!

The sweater is worked in 1 pc; the back is worked to the armholes, sts are added for sleeves; the sleeves are worked up over the shoulders; sts are removed for the neck and sleeves; then the fronts are worked down.

The pattern includes charts for all stitches used as well as for the neck opening and neck shaping making it super easy to accomplish.

If this is your first crocheted garment it is a perfect choice. Sized for women size XS to 5X it looks great on all :-)

What are you most proud of?

I love the variety of sizes the most.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I think this project is great with cotton yarn as well. My best advice...and you should do this ALWAYS when working with lace is to be sure you BLOCK your SWATCH as it will only get bigger when the project is complete.

This is gorgeous! I've made several sweaters/jackets using the single piece methods. This stitch pattern is the prettiest I've ever seen!
