What was your inspiration?
I just love flowers, and these colours. When we replaced our front step a few years ago, I had the opportunity to make a new flower bed.
What are you most proud of?
Lots of blooms!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Water during extremely dry weather. Give the hydrangea lots of room to spread. This variety must have next to no pruning and it really does bloom all summer, as it blooms on both old and new wood. If you want to keep the blooms blue, you must add acid to the soil. It is interesting to see it gradually change its colour if the soil is not treated.
