What materials did you use? Most of the fabric used in this quilt was purchased in 'grab bags' at the annual Tent Sale of one of our town's quilt shops. The black was 'borrowed' from a pending project and the white was left over from another quilt.

What are you most proud of? That my list of 45 family quilts is down to 12, in just over 18 months! I like how it all came together, with the stars joining up at all corners.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Random really can be random!

Great idea to mix black &white with the colors in this way. Thanks for sharing.

I love this scrappy Hunter's Star. How wide are the strips, did you make squares first and cut them diagonally, and how big is the square before all eight get put together???

I used a collection of scrappy strips, I think they were about 2 1/2". You can try and see the triangle blocks on the cutting board. Each triangle was made separately, then trimmed down to size. I was going by a picture in a magazine. Truthfully, I don't remember for sure, but think each square was 8" before being turned into a four unit block.

Totally love the multi colors. I'm making a black, red and white one, about a 15 inch block, so, close to what you did. Such an amazing pattern, I'm using the paper-piecing method, but will consider doing the Rainbow, it's beautiful, and maybe paperpiece for accuracy!!!The 'stars' just pop!

This pattern is on my to-do list, but I am unable to find it. Could you let me know where it may be purchased? This would be greatly appreciated.

I love this quilt. Could you tell me how the blocks are cut that make the star?
