Animal print, camoflage and other assorted fabics. Used pieced "Bear Paw" blocks and applique on name
What was your inspiration?
My grandson wanted a hunter's quilt. The backing is camoflage print. I found the animal print that had lot of different animals. I appliqued his name and added some filler blocks.
What are you most proud of?
I like the over all look of the quilt. I needed some filler block and decided to use a Bear Paw pattern. My grandson like the crossed rifles that I appliqued on the outside corners of the bear paws (Doesn't show up in the picutes)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I fussy cut the animal fabric and then added borders. Every animal cut was a different size so the border are different widths. Use the biggest animal cut and decide on the width of that border and use this for your block size. Adjust the widths of the other border so that you can make the same size blocks.
