What was your inspiration?
I was inspired after reading the books and this was the second necklace I made with the mockingjay pin as a main focal element.
What are you most proud of?
I enjoy the balance of this piece - the colors and textures.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You never know what can be turned into jewelry - found objects are a challenge for your imagination and you should study each element to see the possibilities it will create. I get small fishing fly boxes to horde my finds in groups. Watch parts, old broken jewelry, odd metal elements. They all have great possibilities and are limited only by your vision.
