I dyed the fabric and then fused it to a black felt backing using Misty Fuse fusible web - the best!! Then I clean cut the edges and cut out the black shapes from felt. I used the Embellisher machine to attach the shapes into the dyed silk background.Difficulty:

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This isn't as hard as it might look, but it helps to have the right tools. I posted it mainly to give my wonderful students some ideas for how to use their gorgeous dyed fabrics.
