That is hilarious, Funny how it can change the whole meaning of a sentence. I was going crazy trying to find iout what rule stitch was. Purl can be more awkward, but I don't see why you can't just do the whole project in knit stiitch, as you use a fuzzy yarn you won't see it anyway. Also remember, that is why what we do is called creative, we can change anything to suit ourselves, after all it is your project. I

OK, sorry, there you go, see what I mean, I just typed RULE stitch, mean't PURPE ! I am using an iPad and it drives me crazy when it automatically corrects, it thinks it spells better than me.

purpling is kind of knitting stitch. I have no problem with the knit stitch but the purple stitch I often drop stitches for some reason.

Wow, I have been knitting since I was about 10 yrs old, and I have never heard of the purple stitch, coming from Ireland the only stitch I can think of similar to knit is what I call moss stitch, that's where one row, you knit one purl one, and reverse on the second row.

I love your bears. This one does seem as hairy as the others are, was it a different yarn? I don't knit very well. Is there any purple sticthes in this pattern?

Hi Daves mom, I did not design these bears, the lady below, Gypsycream is the designer, I only knit one bear, but plan on doing more. I used what's called Eyelash yarn, but looking at the bears that the designer has knit probably any long haired yarn would work, I even noticed she has done one in a short fiber yarn.

I suggest you contact the Designer as she is more qualified to answer your question, I am not sure what you mean by purple yarn! SORRY

Hi sorry I didn't see your comment until now. These bears can be knitted in any double knit yarn, I've used eyelash, chenille and Sirdar Snowflake, which is a kind of fleece yarn. Yes there are purl stitches in this pattern as its knitted in stocking stitch, but there is no reason you couldn't do it in garter stitch.

Thank you for creating the pattern, I have bought more yarn to make another one. I am not sure how it will turn out as the yarn may be a little dark (it is Dark Grey) to shows of the eyes, but we will see.

I saw this project on the Craftsy site and as I have collected bears for many years I decided to make one for each of my Granddaughters. I not only enjoyed making it, I think it is very, very, cute, and can't wait to knit the 2nd one so I can see my Granddaughters faces.
