What was your inspiration?
I love the look of Entrelac and I especially love the technique. I knew I wanted a cool hat using this technique. The first hat I made was a slouchy since those are my favorite kind of hats. Then after a few of my students asked me to also write the pattern for a beanie I did just that.
What are you most proud of?
I love the use of color and that I actually learned how to do entrelac in the round on this very hat ;-)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun with the colors. Learn to "knit backwards" as it makes it so much easier...that way you are not constantly having to turn your work and Purl on the WS rows.
