I single crochet all my left over balls..just attached as I went along......did not matter what color or size (thin yarn I just doubled it) made a nice thick afgan

Thank you for sharing your idea, with great pictures! I have found wooden clothes pins at dollar stores and Target. I also use clothes pins to attach my crochet hook to my project - no more unraveling or loose hooks.
