What was your inspiration?

Lauren Kitchen's Chicago Cityscape cake inspired me to create this cake reflecting some of the aspects of Houston which I love: The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the varied downtown Houston skyline lit up at night, the abundant greenspace in Houston contrasting with its never-ending traffic jams, and finally the Clear Lake area with the sailboats and NASA.

What are you most proud of?

This cake took me so long to make, but I've finally finished it!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Brainstorm, plan ahead, and make extra of everything (some of my pieces cracked).
