Things I learned from this project. One when in doubt check the directions - even if that means watching the class over and over until it sinks in. Make sure to keep your fusibles with the glue and the release paper separate - makes a mess of the iron (2 of them). Make sure to get the correct needles for hand stitching. Laura, I used warm and natural batting and did do a test. This was the better side. I have since ordered Hobbs like you suggested and the Vase quilt doesn't have the ripples. Lesson learned!!

Your stitching is wonderful! The ripple in the quilt top may be from fusing to the scrim side of the batting. You may need to test the batting next time to determine the scrim side. You want to fuse the quilt top to the Non-scrim side of the batt.
