My daughter's friends were turning 8 and it was getting close to winter. I wanted to give them something special and useful - they all loved them!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Think about the person you are making for - it helps to choose the fabric. Jen is my friend - she is not turning 8 so I didn't feel she needed her name on hers!
