Hot Pink Star Flowers

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Hipster, Whimsical, Mod, Casual, Cute, Funky

Materials

Polymer Clay Glitter Metal C-Rings Mica Powders Glass Polyurathane

What was your inspiration?

When I made this Cab I didn't know the pink would turn so bright. With the technique I use on these you can't see the look of the stone until you sand off the outside layer. What a surprise!

What are you most proud of?

I thought at first the stone would be unusable( I don't usually do such bright colors) but I hate to throw stuff out. So like me, I gave it up to the powers & I let the creativity flow.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Never give up on a peice even if you have to put it aside for upto a year( I'm working on 2 right now that have been sitting since last November). I just started out in October 2010 designing & creating jewelry with polymer clay & I've yet to throw a peice away, I alway seem to be able to make something out of it.

Love it! Took a polymer clay class a couple of years ago and have got some books. Just don't have the space at the mo'. I am currently living around boxes of beads and chain maille. I love being inspired by interesting creations.

Thank you so much, I often find myself inspired by arts quite different from my own field, which usually leads to an explosion of creative activity.
