What materials did you use? I used leftover crochet thread

What are you most proud of? That I learned three new things; how to make one of these ornaments, use fabric stiffner and about mini printables.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I found that the ropes from the basket to the balloon were very fragile after they were stiffened. It may have been just that my thread was really old but keep this in mind if you plan to make something like this.

My youngest daughter is going to have a baby; She wants to decorate the baby's room with hot-air balloons. Yours is the nicest pattern I've seen..it looks so delicate & yes vintage. I love it! I hope I can do your creation justice. thank you for sharing

Hi-The pattern is from an old Christmas Crochet Gala magazine (c) 1989. I looked online not expecting to find the magazine or pattern but there it is on Ebay ! That's the magazine the pattern is called Hot- Air Balloon Ornament and is on page 4 with a pic of it on page 7 in little girl colors no less. :) Good Luck! http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHRISTMAS-CROCHET-GALA-MAGAZINE-30-EXCELLENT-PATTERNS-/291060619388

Oh - FYI I just saw the magazine on this site on sale for $2.50. That's cheaper than Ebay. Don't know what the shipping is though. Check it out: http://www.vintageknits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11831
