What was your inspiration?
I designed this shawlette in conjunction with Craftsy.com, using Lornas Laces Solemate in the Flamingo Stripe colorway.
Lorna's Laces donates 20% of the proceeds of yarn dyed in this colorway to breast cancer charities.
To me, the lace pattern resembles rows of hearts. Anyone for whom you make this shawlette will know that you care.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of designing a shawl simple enough to show off the gorgeous variegation of the yarn, and easy enough to knit that it makes a *GREAT* first shawl project. This would be a fantastic project for anyone who's taken my "Knit Lab" Craftsy course!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun, and be sure to increase on the correct sides of the markers.
