Hoodsie for the woods

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Hoodsie: A Hooded Vest for Girls & Boys »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Outdoorsy, Casual, Preppy, Cute, Eco-Friendly, Mod

Materials

Spud and Chloe Sweater yarn; size 10.5 needles

What was your inspiration?

I wanted something light and layerable for my kids when we travel to visit my parents in the northwoods. This little vest does a great job taking the chill off but allowing for great active movement.

What are you most proud of?

Love how light and soft this little hoodie is out of the spud and chloe. Just dreamy.

Perfect!! I have been looking for something to make for my grandsons to wear in Okinawa. Something light because the weather there is warm. This looks great!!! Thank you so much. Can't wait to start.

When I created this one for my little ones, I needed to have one too, so, as luck may have it, I also have an adult version of the pattern available in my ravelry shop here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/teen-adult-hoodsie

when you purchase through paypal there should be a link after the purchase goes through and ravelry also sends you an email with the download link. Let me know if either of these options don't work and you need further assistance and thanks so much for your purchase!

you can click above where it says "by designer" or else on the orange writing "hoodsie: A hooded vest for girls or boys" and it will take you to the ravelry pattern page where you can purchase a downloadable version.

I like it very much. . .I think it would be less girly if it was in a darker color and the model had a T-shirt on under it. BUT it is a darling pattern and one I will be making in the future.

I was going for "gender neutral" with the original, which is this sweater. The one I made for my daughter wasn't originally planned on and is much more "girlie." I guess it would look a little more "boyish" in a darker color or with long sleeves under it. He seems comfortable enough with his manhood to wear it though :)
