The view with the striped "skirt" is very full, so i added the tie to make mom happy.The slimmer version, I made a basic elastic top shorts using the print with a matching denim band at the bottom of the leg, then added the "flap" overtop, turning them in to "tricky skirt" or skort in my world!

What was your inspiration?
I just love this pattern. I have to say the hoodie dress didn't seem to go over very well with my niece, but I just think it's so cute!
What are you most proud of?
That i created the skort with out a pattern and it's her favorite outfit!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Assembling the hood onto the dress can get a little messy and little ones can complain about the "scratchiness" around the neck, so consider finishing the hood seam by covering it with bias tape. Not only will it cover any sins, it will remedy any irritation too!
