Instructions

17 designers created 20 different blocks for this fantastic, whimsical quilt. You can find links to the instructions to make each of these blocks on my blog.

49 different sashings were used between each block.

Free Motion Quilting was done by Marcia Wachuta of Marcia's Crafty Sewing & Quilting

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Funky, Mod, Whimsical

What was your inspiration?

a quilt Aneela Hoey made: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aneelahoey/5532047812/

What are you most proud of?

How all these different blocks, created by designers all over the world came together and created this gorgeous piece that every time you look at it you see something new.

I used 49 different sashing designs to put all the blocks together!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Grab all the fabrics you think you might use and put them in a pile/box/bag. Use from those first and try to repeat in future blocks and in sashing. It helps to pull the whole thing together.

This is just the quilt top - quilting still has to be done but I just couldn't wait...

that is the most unique "house" top I have seen-you have a great group of designers who obviously think alike to get such varied prints to work together. Love it.
