What was your inspiration?
I fell in love with Alabama Chanin and was interested in trying it myself. I bought the Studio Sewing + Design book and I took off from there. I am a pattern maker and wanted something for my office Holiday party and this fit the bill.
What are you most proud of?
The fit, the color and the fabric. I got a lot of great comments about the top and wore it several times over the holiday season.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I am a seasoned sewer, but I would say don't be afraid. The fabric sews well and it satisfies my need for hand sewing. It is easy to take a project like this with you anywhere to work on.
