What was your inspiration?
my 19 y/o son asked if I could make a stuffed animal of Hobbes for his friend
What are you most proud of?
How much crochet I remembered after not doing it for 8+ yrs. Also, proud that I could do this pattern as I have never done anything but, blankets, and something square/rectangle.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
just do it! I did have to tweak the rows a bit and do 2 orange for every one black, so they looked the same size. In the pattern she only had 4 stripes on the legs, but, I found that was too short, so there are places where you can have creative reign with it and still come out looking much like the original.
