What was your inspiration?
I have a daughter who loves to dress up her American Girl doll, and it's even better when she gets to wear something that matches whatever the doll is wearing.
What are you most proud of?
I am always happy when people start to use my patterns to make their own projects. Nothing gives me a bigger thrill then seeing someone post a picture of a project made with one of my patterns.
The thing I'm most proud of when it comes to this specific pattern is the ears. There are plenty of cat hat patterns on the market, but I haven't see another one that features ears that use two colors and stand up nice and straight like these do.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Whether you just learned to knit in the round or have done it a thousand times, this cat hat is a project that you will have fun with. If you're not a crocheter, you might even learn something new since this pattern uses a (very easy!) crochet stitch to do the edging. Don't panic, knitters...I include a video link in the pattern to walk you through it and I've been told that the video is very easy to follow even if you've never picked up a crochet hook!
