What was your inspiration?

This is a recent design based on the Hex Square KAL that I held on Ravelry.com. This is a prototype - the pattern and pre-mades of the cowl will be ready and in my shop on Monday 11/28/2011.

I created a tube form of making hexagons for multiple quilt patterns. I took that idea and turned it into this lovely cowl.

What are you most proud of?

That I was able to create this because my grandmother took the time to teach me to knit and quilt when I was quite young and all of her time was not in vain. I still remember all she taught. I'm not so proud, but Gran would be. This entire hexagon line is dedicated to her - Edna Geraldine Russell Mullins

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is not difficult - I've had beginning knitters making these as their first project. There are several videos to help with each step of the process.
