This is the bonus project for the April BOM.I used the 2" hexagon template from the April BOM for the lanterns.
I adapted a technique I saw on the internet to paper piece the hexagons. Check out my blog for the details.

What was your inspiration?
The challenge for the April BOM. I wracked my brain to come up with an alternative use for hexagons and was looking through my fabric stash when I came upon the Japanese Fan Quilt kit.
What are you most proud of?
That I came up with the idea and execution for this project all by myself!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Do not use a plastic template for the technique I've detailed on my blog. Regular printing paper folded around the shape of the hexagon shape worked much better for me.
