Quilting: Hexagon Flower Quilt

Hexagon Flower Quilt

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Design It, Quilt It: Free-Form Techniques »

Instructions

The quilt pattern is from the book "Civil War Sewing Circle" by Kathleen Tracy. I only made 6 blocks instead of 12.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabric, 100Wt Invisafil thread, cotton and wool batting. The quilt is 12" x 15"

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to see if I could use techniques that I learned in the class on a pieced quilt top (my other quilts were whole cloth).

What are you most proud of?

That I used a stencil that I inherited in a different way than intended.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun and try out new things. Little quilts are such a great way to try something new.
