What was your inspiration?
The invitation for the party.....the mom was really creative and made a coloring book with different friends of Hello Kitty.....she also wanted the cake to have a lot of color because there would be boys at the party and she didn't feel all pinky would be fun for them.
What are you most proud of?
I'm always pretty proud of my molding/sculpting work...I was really happy to use Joshua John Bell's Royal Icing Piping technique and Bubble Tea Straw Dowel method...........but in this case I'm SUPER proud that I stacked the cake well and it didn't collapse!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Draw a mockup of how you want the cake to look and Use Lots of Dowels!!!
