What are you most proud of? It was so tedious working in thread it took me months of working on it madly then putting it away to do another project, but I didn't give up until it was finished!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I found a 1.00 hook very difficult to work with. If your tension is tight I would try a 1.25

I really like this, it's so pretty. But do you by chance have a gage to see if we are making it too big or too small? I am not sure if I crochet tight or not, I think that I do sometimes and other times - who knows! lol

I don't have a gauge as such, but I have measured my gown and put the results in the "instructions" section above. Not sure where you are from so I will give them in both inches & centimeters. The gown would fit a newborn or small baby.

Thank-you, that will help, and I am from Michigan but I am sure some of our neighbors will appreciate the centimeters. Can't wait to get at it, Such a small hook to get used to too.

i have done this adorable dress as part of a burial layett. It can be made with a lot of lace and ribbon and it looks wonderful. and with a nice blanket and bonnet, I also include a envelope for the parents to put all papers in, and add something special for them just to have . I had a very hard time with the first set because of what it was, then I changed my thinking and thought about those living that needed something like this to put on their Angel. then I was so into it then. they were taken to the hospitals for a gift to the parents at this very sad time .
