What was your inspiration?
A hedgehog curled in a mound of leaves in the garden.
What are you most proud of?
The simplicity with which the design and the mug rug went together. I am particularly pleased with the spikes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a simple pattern. The noses are the only small piece and I used black felt making them relatively easy to do. Do not worry if your stitching is uneven for the spikes - after all nobody ever trims a hedgehog's spikes!
