Instructions

I am sorry I don't know how to link to Amy Gaines' patterns because I used her book "Little Knitted Creatures" but you can find her here on Craftsy. Her instructions and pictures are wonderful!

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Cute, Whimsical

Materials

Worsted weight yarn, fluffy bulky weight novelty yarn, 3.5 mm needles, 2 black beads, felt for ears, polyester stuffing, yarn needle, sewing needle and thread.

What was your inspiration?

I found some novelty yarn at a garage sale and didn't know what to do with it. I had recently purchased Amy Gaines' book "Little Knitted Creatures" and I found this pattern there. I plan to try the squirrel next.

What are you most proud of?

I had never tried Amigurami before. I thought it looked too difficult and fussy. But Amy's instructions were so clear that this was fun and easy. So proud that it looks almost as good as hers.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Try Amigurami! You will like it. Especially if you use and Amy Gaines pattern.
