What materials did you use? Once upon a time, not so long ago, I found a treasure from a flea market: a huge bag of well-marinated yarns for 2 euros! At home, I discovered a lovely, green mohair-blend within. It was old, yes, but yarn ages quite well if stored properly.
What are you most proud of? I've never liked making cables: it's slow and you have to count and keep track of rows, and if you drop a stitch, it's back to square one. With this shrug, I tested faux cables, and found love. They're a very easy way of mimicking the cabled look, and the result was stunning. I love the look and feel of my cool new shrug. Even the color is a lovely change to my mostly black garderobe.
