What was your inspiration?
A warm but nice/pretty blanket for a first-time mother-to-be.
What are you most proud of?
That I persevered, it was tedious but worth it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This cream blanket is for a new baby due in three weeks which is expected to be a boy, so the mother-to-be has gone with neutral colours.
The blanket is heavy, but thats ok because it is winter here in OZ. It is a bit small for a good size blanket, but will suit the new basinet well. This is Gemmas first baby.
The pattern is a bit tedious, but worthwhile and as with all Terry Kimbrough blankets the border makes it. I did a couple of rows more of the border to make it a little bigger.
Love this yarn, no problems at all! The pattern uses a lot of yarn for a small area, but it is warm and still soft enough. Probably should have used a 5mm hook.
