What was your inspiration?
Made one for grandaughter as her hair was abit slow at growing, so I made a headband for her, then my eldest daughter saw the headband and asked me if I could make some for her for work, in the colours of Purple and Green.
What are you most proud of?
My eldest daughter (27yrs old) asking me to make some for her. Then when she wore them to work, she got so many compliments she asked me to make heaps more....so I have....
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
let your imagination go, try different shapes, colours and different sizes of flowers on headbands. I used felt, ribbons, crochet thread & to make them more fun for my daughter, I used press snaps so she could change them around to other headbands, also added a few extra cut outs of felt flowers with a cut out hole so she could add more shapes/colours to her headbands. Its easy to make and fun too, especially the designing and shaping the decorations. To stitch flowers/butterflies I used a blanket stitch.
