What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics and gold metallic thread. And a gold cross for the center from the jewelry craft department.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Cut accurately, sew an scant quarter inch seam, press carefully so as not to distort the block. Small strips are not as forgiving as bigger fabric pieces. You a design wall to pin as you go.

Just friends and family, and some charity projects. My work is far from perfect, so I am not sure if someone paid for my work that they would .meet their standards. I actually had someone at Walmart ask me about making a couple for her church. I'm afraid to if I started taking orders, it would take the fun out of it because I'd feel pressure that it wouldn't be goo enough.
