What was your inspiration?

my good friend Jeanette fell in love with this yarn, reminded her of the several trips to Hawaii, she asked me to make her a scarf she could wear in cold weather that would take her back there, at least in her daydreams!!!

What are you most proud of?

that i got it to block evenly :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

openwork takes a bit more attention, but its worth it!!

Is this the pattern? http://carlynnfield.tumblr.com/post/6099450778/b It looks different, but perhaps you knitted it with larger needles?

it is the pattern and i agree, mine doesnt look the same, but even when i used smaller needles mine had the lacy look, i think she had to be using sock yarn, i did use larger needles, because i liked the openwork look. the yarn i used is worsted weight

When it is below zero, we are just making sure that nothing freezes & falls off. ;-) I am sure that this will work for her, it would me.

I hope it does, especially when it's below zero and snowing here!
