What materials did you use? I actually used 4 bamboo double points as opposed to the magic loop method shown in Stefanie's lesson. I'm not averse to learning magic loop at all, but I was just so excited to have FINALLY cracked the DPN code with the flower headband that there was no stopping me. This is actually a mock-up/dry-run of a hat I've promised a good friend of mine. The quality yarn has been bought for that, but I didn't want to use it on my very first hat! So, this sucker's in 100% acrylic, (hence the slightly elongated look to it. There's really not a tonne of blocking that can be done here). I'll update when the 100% merino is finished.

What are you most proud of? I'm so satisfied to have gotten over the hump in my 'in-the-round' journey. It's just so satisfying. I feel like a ballet student who's just been allowed to go en pointe. Knitting: This ish just got real! The fact that this incorporated colourwork is just icing on the cake. Dayum, I impressed myself! Least proud of? The shocking state of my in-progress iPhone photo!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? SWATCH! And find a row counter app. (there are loads of free ones) Now that I'm doing projects with charts, they're a must-have.

Your colour choice is lovely! I will choose similar colours as I'm inspired by this! :)

Thank you so much! Isn't it amazing the amount of variation you can get from a single pattern with your colour choices?
