What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun and enjoy.
Very nice! This pattern is very similar to a Japanese block called "Igeta" - the name for the grid that they used to put over wells in Japan to stop people falling down them! I found the block in a book by Susan Briscoe on Japanese quilts and made a quillow (there's a photo on my projects page, called "Laura's Quilllow)" in reds and blacks. I really like your variety of green fabrics - it looks very fresh and spring-like.
Great job, it looks perfect!
pretty! I am looking forward to making this quilt soon =)
