I love your pattersn but being englich living in the UK some of your instructions are different to ours. I have just purchased Harvest Mitts pattern and in the Materials it says "#4 needles, What does the # mean?? Also in England double pointed needles are sold in sets of 4 and not 5 which means we have to buy two sets of needles for each size which is expensive. Further down the materials you have 8 buttons xxx - what does the xxx mean.?

# means "number" so you would need one set of number 4 needles.
