What was your inspiration?
The brief was for the number 40 and something to do with faeries but not so it looks like a child's cake. I created a number cake with a faerie in a spa bath in the 0 part of the cake and a bed in the 4 part of the cake.
What are you most proud of?
Getting it done in time. The end results.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You can pre-make the diamonds for the floor but I prefer to make them as required so that they can be manipulated slightly into place.
