What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics

What are you most proud of? That I finished it! There was another fabric chosen for part of this and after cutting and sewing it together, I knew it just didn't work. I ripped it out and used another fabric and it worked out fine. I also learned how to make the curved binding trim and getting it all to work.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be sure your choice of fabrics makes the design stand out. Have lots of time to make this as the curved pieces and outside binding are time consuming. But you'll have a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when it's finished.

Thank you. I had a number of friends with me when first picking out this fabric and it got a little "complicated" which then caused me to sew and rip out...but in the end it came out nice.

I love the way the colors blend and sway. Beautiful!

Thanks! The original was done in red and creams and captured me...I would love to remake it in the original colors, maybe someday...when I work down my project list.

annie, beautiful quilt...thought I saw birds at first glance, By turning the block with 4 triangles into 2-brown triangles separated by a white/lt tan triangle, offset by a white/lt tan rectangle, would make the birds really emerge. Did I make that clear enough? At least that's what I see in my mind...lol
