What was your inspiration?

My friend Hannah (not Craftsy Hannah, but a dear childhood friend of mine) collects soap, beautiful handmade soap. I give her gifts of soap and always package them differently. I had the idea to create a package that could also be used as a bath mitt, or to store soaps, potpourri, bath beads, etc. Since making the bag for Hannah, I've made lots more. They work up quickly and are a unique, cost-effective gift for holidays or any time of year.

What are you most proud of?

How fun and easy it is to customize this project for any type of gift -- holidays, birthdays, baby gifts, etc. And the size of the bag can be easily altered by casting on more or less stitches and working to a different length. Pattern includes directions.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Let your imagination run free!
