I handcut my own nose from inexpensive felt, then used a backstitch with a Japanese needle to secure it on the bear. The nose shape gives each bear its own unique character! It was fun to see each bear I made develop its own personality, which I intended to do, based on the unique child who will be receiving this handmade treasure for Christmas.Difficulty:

Depending on the child, I used soft pink yarn for baby, and eyelash yarn for older boy and girl.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of finishing three bears on time to be unwrapped!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Really cherish the magic of toymaking - which I feel is now going to be an annual effort on my part!
