What was your inspiration?
I found a photo of a hanbag that I liked, and decided to copy it. I had no pattern, so I made it up as I went along! I changes a number of things that the original bag had. I made the handles in crochet, and joined them to teh bag with plastic rings,
What are you most proud of?
The finished bag; there is a good weight to it. I lined it with a heavy cotton fabric, used double, which gave structure to the bag. The yarn is South African 100% cotton, therefore the bad would be washable, although it should be done carefully so as not to distort the crochet.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use your imagination!
