Acrylic paints on fabric.
What was your inspiration?
A local rural volunteer fire brigade lost all their equipment when their (don't laugh!) shed burnt down! We raised money for them by making jewellery and other crafty items, writing & recording orignal songs and putting on a mini-festival for them.
These are some of the bags I made. The moon design tickled my funny bone, so there are several versions of it!
What are you most proud of?
Having been involved with a bunch of guys who put their lives on the line many times for very little recognition.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I've just used acrylic paints. I chose bags because they would not be washed constantly. So far, the ones I've kept track of have stood up to daily use and an occasional hand wash.
