What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the re-purpose/reuse/recycle idea of garment construction. Clothes back then were so thoughtfully made and I really appreciate that. I believe those pieces should be given a new life and new purpose. The bride actually wore a gown from David's for the ceremony and changed into her mom's dress for the reception. And I replaced the itchy stiff netting from her gown with the lining remnants from her mother's dress. So the bride had her "something old" part covered.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The planning took the most time. I stared at the dress for a month before coming up with a plan of attack. I studied the dress inside and out, taking the time to deconstruct it. So give your self a fare amount of time to do this project (like 2 months), working on it here and there so as not to get overwhelmed or frustrated.

Good job Kiyono! Deconstructing is a lot of work and designing too. Grandmas would be proud as I am.
