Combined 1 lace strand of cotton and 1 lace strand of linen
What was your inspiration?
My sleeveless jeans dress showed too much of my unlovely upper arms. Inspired by my daughter's liking for steam punk and chain mailed clothes and matching yarn, I decided to knit some sleeves for the dress. I also cut off the unflattering pointy collar and crochet a row of lace around it. I did not try it on until I'd sewn the sleeves on the dress, but luckily it fits perfectly.
I am now on a roll and will continue to use my imagination to alter apparel, hone decs, accessories, etc. I am also knitting matching wrist gauntlets and foot warmers. Anyone needing instructions or wanting custom help pls contact me at my email petraknits@yahoo.com

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't throw away your clothes if you don't like how they look on you. There are many ways to alter something into a brand new look.
