What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make something casual that combined romance, color and a vintage feel.
What are you most proud of?
I don't do very much stampling and I think the words stampled on the bird turned out pretty well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It was really helpful to use masking tape to secure the bird cutout to my bench block when I stamped the letters. The tape not only kept the piece in place, but also helped keep the stamp from sliding. I was able to double strike some of the letters without causing a ghost image. I did find that I needed to clean the stamped letters with soap and a toothbrush in order to for liver of sulfer to take. Some of the adheasive residue must have stuck in the grooves.
