What was your inspiration?
A hand made book can be a trusted companion for life. Bookbinding is in my family, and though it has taken me until my adult life to carry the torch again, I'm now filled with the zest for creating these beautiful books.
What are you most proud of?
I made my Gran a promise before she died that I would stop saying 'one day' and start making the most of each day as it comes. I am so happy to have been able to inherit some of my uncles books so that i can lovingly deconstruct them to see his little binders quirks and style, so that I can make books he would be proud of.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You dont have to be a bookbinder to make paper treasures to love. I'll be showing you how to make notebooks, jotter pads, greeting cards and many other things to help you feel the longlasting friendship of an adored personal paper treasure.
Books are a blessing that last longer than a lifetime. Hold one today.
