everything! I think it's almost perfect

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

take your time, and the handles can be tricky to adjust. next time I do this cake, I will try the way the handles fall on a real purse before the dry out.

Good luck! Make sure that your fondant is very cold before you apply it to the cake.

I took a plastic pattern from CK products. I wish I had ordered the one from make your own, it would have looked even better I think.

Are you sure that's a cake and not a real leather handbag? It looks so realistic! I'd love to own a purse just like that.

Thanks! I did this cake for a friend's wife and he did not know what the cake was going to be. when he entered my kitchen he did not look very excited about the cake and I was a bit disappointed. and then he asked me where the cake was!! he was sure it was my purse on the counter! I knew then that my goal was achieved
