Halloween Treats

Various Halloween treats

Various Halloween treats

Instructions

Made the cookie dough and just used cookie cutters and icing.

The fingers were the most popular!!!!! Just roll them, make the knuckles with a few knife scrapes and use a teaspoon to make the fingernail. I used a paintbrush to put the icing on the nails first - then I put some food dye in and made the "blood" for the other end.

What was your inspiration?

In Australia we don't DO Halloween as such, but that weekend falls on Melbourne Cup Day so there is usually a four day weekend and we go to our caravan in the country. The children get dressed up and go Trick or Treating. We decorate our van and I found that they all loved the fingers!!!!

What are you most proud of?

The way they turned out!! The kids loved them - the parents couldn't believe the likeness. It was an inexpensive (apart from time - but that was the most enjoyable time spent) relaxing and rewarding project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun!! Craft is all about feeling good isn't it???
